Douglas Trinowski
Vice President R&D and Quality

As vice president - technology for HA International, Doug Trinowski brings over 30 years of foundry technical expertise. In this role, Doug leads all research and product development for foundry resins, refractory and lost foam coatings and resin-coated sands. This lead position requires close coordination with Hüttenes-Albertus GMBH, our German parent, for technology development and exchange. Doug comes to HA International from Delta-HA where he was vice president/technical and marketing, a position similar in scope to his present one. Doug joined Delta Resins & Refractories in 1989, as a technical sales representative. In 1991, Doug accepted the position of technical director in Detroit, Michigan where the company maintained its R&D laboratories and technical center, and in 1997 he was elevated to vice president.

Prior to joining Delta, Doug was with QO Chemicals, formerly The Quaker Oats Company, for eleven years where he progressed through several challenging technical positions. Doug gained invaluable experience in chemical and foundry resin synthesis, foundry product and process development, and sales and technical service.

Doug is active in the American Foundry Society (AFS), and currently serves on several technical committees. In addition, he is a past chair of the Cast Metal Institute, which is the education and training division of the AFS and past chair of the Detroit Windsor Chapter AFS. He also serves on the advisory board of the Metal Casting Center of the University of Northern Iowa.

Doug holds a degree in chemistry from MacMurray College.
